NSP 2024-25 Scholarship Guidelines

  • Select the best scheme for your requirements if you want to apply for new scholarships. The schemes vary.
  • The Scholarships are available to all students including OBC ST PWD and PWD

  • For this scholarship, a minimum score of 50% is needed.
  • Students with disabilities can apply under the Disability Scheme
  • The Minority Scheme is for you. It is open to minorities.
  • In order to qualify for the CSS Scholarship, in the year 2024 you will need to mention your state scheme as well as the student percentage.
  • The tribal scheme is open to all tribal members.

How do I apply?

  • The NSP website is scholarships.gov.in.
  • To register, click “new registration.”
  • On the screen, you will see a form to register for NSP in 2024.
  • The scheme you choose will depend on your eligibility.
  • Candidates are required by law to supply their full name and birth date. They must also provide their phone number, email, home country, the category they belong to, as well bank information.
  • Upload the PDF or JPEG version of your bank’s passbook. Enter the captcha in the box on the left.
  • Register in order to obtain an application number.
  • Once the NSP credentials are received, the applicant will receive an SMS with the Application Number and Password.

NSP Scholarship amount in 2024-25 differs depending on each individual. Scholarships are awarded based on the applicants’ economic standing, their class, or the ministry they can apply to. It is Rs. 15000 a month spread out over 10 monthly months for postgraduates. This will cover two years. Pre-matric or 6th-10th grade students will get Rs 350 a month as a monthly payment and Rs. 500 per year for tuition.

Documents Requirements

Documents needed by NSPs may vary. You should always keep the following documents in your possession to be able to make a good application.

  • You will see your award on the website if it is already processed, or has been paid.

Selection Process

Since the NSP’s minority scholarships are limited, and each year fixed, there is a need to prioritize in selecting. In accordance with para-11 (ii), the applicant must provide a certificate of their income. In the event that the applicant’s income is identical to another’s, then the merit for the application will be determined based on their “Date of birth”.

Renewal cases do not generate a merit list. Renewal applicants are only eligible for the Scholarship if they have achieved a 50% score in their previous examinations, and if there is approval and verification of your application by all designated authorities by the Ministry of Minority Affairs.
