MLIS at IGNOU: Overview

1. If you wish to enroll for the July session of academics, please submit your application before 14 August 2024.
2. To apply for MLIS, students must visit the official university website and pay INR 300 as a registration charge.
3. One year is the duration of a masters course.
4. Candidate must hold a degree from an accredited university and have a minimum 50% grade.
5. IGNOU also does not have an entrance examination to the MLIS Program. Admission will be on the basis merit.
6. IGNOU Official site will post the end of term exam results after the exams.
7. IGNOU MLIS costs 11,300 INR per year.
8. For the IGNOU Master of Library and Information Science course, there is an INR 300 registration fee.
9. Distance learning is flexible for candidates who have a hectic schedule.

11. This course will prepare you to work as an Assistant Librarian, Library Attendant and other jobs.

Qualification Criteria

For an applicant to qualify for IGNOU Scholarship, they must fulfill the criteria below.

1. Citizen India
2. Anyone who is a member of a scheduled caste, notified tribe, waiver community, transgender or jail inmate, or a physically handicapped person
3. IGNOU has a number of different degree programs that you can choose from.
4. An annual family income of less than INR 300,000,00 cannot be exceeded

IGNOU MLIS Admission

IGNOU MLIS is only open for admission until 14 August, 2024. To register for this program you must go to the official IGNOU website. If you want to be considered for admission, then you will need a Bachelor’s degree in Library and Detail and Science. MLIS admission is solely based on academic merit. The university does not administer an entrance exam.

Those wanting to enter a management position in Library Science should think about the Master of Library Science.
