Eklavya Scholarships 2024 – Eligibility documents and deadline

Eklavya Scholarships: Maharashtra residents have good news. Maharashtra Government launches Eklavya Scholarship program. This scholarship is for candidates studying sciences, arts and commerce as well as Law.

Candidates must complete a government recognized course and be funded by the government at any college, university or school. Eklavya will accept applications online.

Why Scholarships are offered

The poor economic condition of many graduates prevents them from pursuing postgraduate courses. In order to solve this problem, Directorate of Higher Education created a new Eklavya Scholarship. Candidates of the State are provided with financial assistance under this program so they can attend higher education without financial difficulties.

Qualification Criteria

Candidates should understand that the eligibility criteria is based on:

1. Candidate must first reside permanently in Maharashtra.
2. A minimum 60 percent grade in the candidate’s graduation program is needed.
3. Family income for a student is limited to 75000 rupees or less per annum.
4. Maharashtra school and college students are eligible.
5. It is not acceptable for the recipient to have both full and part time jobs.

Scholarship Amount

After completing all the required steps, Maharashtra may select an applicant for the scholarship. This will be a once-off financial benefit. 5000.
