Qualification Criteria

  • India City is the preferred city.
  • A scholarship is awarded for candidates with a score of more than half in their previous final examination. Annual income of parents and guardians must be between. INR 8,00,000 is the maximum amount of income that can be earned in a year. The maximum income of a family varies depending on the scholarship.
  • Scholarship for Pre-Matric: It is awarded to the candidate who studies in government schools in India between class 1 and 10.
  • Scholarship for Post-Matric Study: It is awarded to the candidates studying in India. The scholarship is available for technical and vocational classes offered by industrial training institutions and centers that are affiliated to National Council for Vocational Training.

Selection Process

1. Candidate Selection Process

There are a limited number of NSPs available for minorities, and the amount is decided each year. Therefore, there must be a priority in the selection. The applicant will be required to submit proofs of income according to the requirements in paragraph 11(ii). When the income of both applicants is similar, it will be determined using their date(s) of birth.

2. The Renewal Process

For renewals, there will be no merit-based ranking. A renewal applicant is eligible to receive the scholarship only if she/he scored at least 50 percent in previous examinations, at the exact same institution in the identical programs of study. Her/his application must also have been verified and approved by both the state/university government and the university authorities as well as the Ministry of Minority Affairs.

NSP Scholarships Distribution Rule

As per the National Commission 1992, Muslim Sikh Christian Buddhist Jainism Zoroastrian and Sikh are all designated as Minority Communities. Five lakh online scholarship will be given as fresh scholarships. The number of Minorities in States and Union Territories based upon the Cense 2001 Results for 2017 and 2018 will determine the distribution of Scholarships.
