ONGC’s Foundation offers Scholarship Programs for candidates that are less economically strong in the General Category. Candidates pursuing a degree such as MBBS (Master in Biomedical Sciences), MBA, Master of Geophysics / Geology, MBBS First Year, can register online for ONGC Foundation Scholarship.

Scholarships will be awarded to students who can demonstrate excellence in academics but are facing financial challenges. ONGC Foundation program to distribute approximately 2000 Scholarships. The scholarship will pay 48,000 rupees annually.

Categories

The ONGC Foundation divides its scholarship program in three categories.

• ONGC Foundation Scholarships for Candidates in the General Category
• Scholarships from the ONGC Foundation for OBC applicants
• Scholarships from the ONGC Foundation for SC, ST Category Candidates with Merit

All Scholarship Categories have nearly identical eligibility requirements. This division is based solely on reservation categories.

Eligibility Criterion

The official publication of ONGC Foundation describes eligibility and the ONGC Scholarship for 2024.

• Candidates must be Indians who are enrolled and citizens of India.
• The applicant must be a candidate in the first year of MBBS/Graduate Engineering.
• Candidates who enroll in full-time courses will not be eligible to apply for this scholarship.
• Engineering and MBBS requires a minimum grade of 60% in class 12.
• Geology, Geophysics, and MBA postgraduate programs require 60% minimum graduation marks.
• Gross household income (from all sources) must not exceed 4,50 Lakh rupees. If you fall under the SC or ST category, your gross income from all sources must not be more than Rs. 4,50,000.
• Total family income of less than Rs. 2 000 per annum. (for General Category)
• If you are under 30, then your eligibility for 2024 begins.
• No other scholarship or financial assistance should be available to the candidates.

ONGC Scholarship 2024: Number

ONGC Foundation is offering 2,000 scholarships to applicants. Following are the numbers in each category and zone.

• General Category 500 Scholarship for Candidates with Economically Weaker Background
• OBC Category Scholarships Program 500
• Scholarships available for SC/ST candidates up to 1000

The ONGC Foundation divides every state into five zones. It then distributes scholarship funds between each zone.

Important Date

The ONGC Foundation offers a scholarship each year. These dates are important for the Scholarship. When is the start date of the online application and the closing date? When will merit lists appear?

Payment

It will be paid into the account of each candidate. The four-year scholarship is available to all candidates with a B.E. It is available to those who hold B.Tech and B.E. degrees as well as MBBS, MBA or MBBS. MBA students and candidates with Masters degrees in Geology or Geophysics are eligible to receive this for up to 2 years.

If you qualify, only then can you register online for an ONGC Scholarship through www.ongcscholar.org.

• Select ‘Application For Scholarships” in the main menu.
• You will find the list of scholarships available for the General category, OBC category and the SC/ST categories.
• Before submitting your form, be sure to carefully read the instructions.
• Fill out the Online Application Form accurately and completely.
• Download supporting documents online
• You will receive the application form generated by our system.
• When submitting your form, you can attach supporting documents.
• Send your application to the nearest ONGC branch (the code is on the application form).

ONGC scholarship 2024: required documents

The following documents must be attached to the application form, duly attested and certified by the candidate’s Head, Principal or Dean, College or University. The list below contains the required documents for the ONGC Scholarship Program 2024.

• Caste Certificate
• Age Certificate (10th Admit Cards)
• MBA and Master of Geology and Geophysics graduates: copy of the graduation mark sheet
• Original and certified copy of the Family Annual Income Certificate (Hindi and English)
• Enter the bank information of the applicant in the ECS.
• If you do not have a PAN, please give an estimated submission date (in the event that one isn’t readily available).
• A certified copy in Hindi and English of the family’s annual income certificate.

ONGC scholarship 2024: selection process

The ONGC Foundation evaluates applicants based on various criteria, including;

• Candidates will be selected based on the aggregate scores of each prescribed qualifying examination.
• Candidates from lower-income families will be selected if they have the same marks as other candidates.
• Priority will be given to candidates from low-income families. If there aren’t enough eligible students, other candidates will be considered.

Each candidate will receive an email from the ONGC Foundation if they are selected as a recipient of the scholarship program.

Terms and Conditions

The ONGC Foundation published the important T&Cs for National Scholarship Program. The following are the most important T&C for this scholarship.

• Scholarships are available for women and young girls.
• Candidates from the other categories (general candidates, SC/ST candidates) should not apply to this program. They are advised to follow their own programmes.
• OBC Caste Certificates – Issued by authorities
• Scholarships only apply to full-time programs.
• After selection, candidates must submit active account details that they cannot change.
• Candidates will receive scholarships if they achieve at least a 60% grade or 6/10 for their semester examinations.
• The chosen candidate is not eligible for any other scholarship or financial assistance.
